ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) –The Rio Grande Food Project provided free groceries, additional services and resources to help address food insecurity in the community. The organization is holding its 10th Annual Hike to End Hunger to help raise support and awareness for food insecurity.
This year’s event will be Saturday, October 26 at Pat Hurley Park Lower Loop. Free registration and t-shirt sales on-site begin at 9:30 a.m. Participants can enjoy a 1.3 mile stroller and wheelchair accessible loop trail, or the stair trail for those who want a more strenuous challenge. Along with the walk, guests can enjoy lawn games, food, different booths and more. Registration and shirt purchase can be done in advance online.
