HELENA — Milo Kauffman and Miles Miller went to battle Thursday evening at Bill Roberts Golf Course. As the final runners for Helena High and Missoula Hellgate, respectively, during the 2025 Capital City 7 of 7 Invitational, the highest-placed finisher in the No. 1 race also earned a team title.

Miller paced early, leading a group of Class AA state title contenders, as well as Livingston's Finn Schretenthaler, around the winding greens and fairways and up and down bunkered hills.

Current 5,000-meter leader Miles Halvorsen assumed control for Bozeman, ultimately capturing the Hawks’ sixth consecutive 7 of 7 race and a runner-up team finish. A 16th-place result in the No. 7 race doomed the Hawks.
