BALTIMORE —
The Baltimore Ravens are recognizing young people who are making a difference in communities.
From top to bottom, and front to back, the Green Team at the Academy for College and Career Exploration in North Baltimore ensures there is no eyesore in sight.
Kenya Watkins, a geometry teacher at ACCE, said she was a new teacher when she started the group in 2021.
"We maintain the building beautification. We maintain the building, inside and outside, the beauty of the building inside and outside. We maintain the gardens around here. We have raised beds. We have fish during harvest," Watkins explained.
The Green Team has taken off in the four years since its founding. They're even growing corn.
