PEORIA, Ill. – A 37-year-old man has pleaded guilty for his role in a shooting at Big Al’s in downtown Peoria nearly two years ago.
The Peoria County State’s Attorney’s Office says Tywahnn Tillman pleaded guilty on Friday to Attempt First Degree Murder as part of a plea deal. Prosecutors agreed to a maximum possible prison sentence of 48 years in exchange for Tillman’s guilty plea.
The shooting occurred in the early morning hours of October 23rd, 2023.
Prosecutors say surveillance video and witness testimony shows Tillman got into a fight with a bouncer and was kicked out of the club. He then returned with a gun and shot the bouncer in the head, when the bouncer’s back was turned to Tillman.
