A Missoula man claiming to be a member of the Fourth Reich has been arrested on felony hate crime charges, according to charging documents.

According to documents, police responded on Oct. 7 to a reported crime outside of the Poverello Center. There, a man said that he'd been punched and kicked in the head by a man self-identifying as a "Nazi."

The victim had a Star of David tattoo on his arm, commonly associated with the Jewish ethnicity and faith. He said that this tattoo sparked an argument that ended with the other man kicking and punching him in the head. According to documents, police were able to get video footage that backed up the victim's statements.
