Former Miami Dolphins safety Reshad Jones is expecting quite the windfall, having agreed to a settlement worth a whopping $9.5 million with Merrill Lynch following a former financial advisor swindling him out of $2.59 million.

Jones, a two-time Pro Bowler, spent his entire NFL career in Miami after the team selected him in the fifth round of the 2010 NFL Draft.

As noted above, he was taken for a hefty sum and was after a $16 million settlement after being exploited by a management firm to which he gave his complete trust. This resulted in the arrest of financial advisor Isaiah Williams and accomplice Octavia Monique Graham.

Williams allegedly used his access to steal $1.56 million from the former NFL star and was accused of appropriating an additional $1.3 million with Graham via a bank
