The current chair of the board of directors of the Société de l’assurance automobile du Québec (SAAQ), Dominique Savoie, believes that the public agency’s services are now in a better position after significant setbacks with its digital transformation.

Savoie appeared before the Gallant Commission on Friday morning. She listed the changes made to improve the situation at the Crown corporation since she took over as chair of the board in January.

“Can we understand today that this is somewhat the beginning of a new era for the SAAQ?” asked Simon Tremblay, chief counsel for the commission of inquiry.
