SEASIDE, Ore. — A man who was reported missing Thursday night was found dead on Seaside Beach early Friday morning, city officials said.

Wayne Wilson, 64, was last seen around 6:30 p.m. Thursday near his home in Seaside, according to police.

The Seaside Police Department and Seaside Fire and Rescue searched for Wilson overnight. Dispatchers received a call at 7:37 a.m. Friday reporting that a body had been found on the beach near Avenue A. Authorities later confirmed the body was Wilson.

City officials said Wilson had medical conditions that required medications and medical devices.

The Clatsop County medicolegal death investigator responded to the scene to examine the body.
