PEORIA, Ill. (WMBD) -- The man who was accused of a 2023 shooting at Big Al's in downtown Peoria has pleaded guilty to attempted first-degree murder.

37-year-old Tywahnn K. Tillman pleaded guilty to shooting the club's bouncer on Oct. 23, 2023.

At the time, WMBD reported Tillman was arrested in connection with the shooting at Big Al’s that sent two to the hospital. A month later, a grand jury returned charges of attempted murder and aggravated battery in connection with the incident.

A statement from the Peoria County States Attorney's Office says surveillance footage and witness statements from that night show Tillman got into a fight with the bouncer and had been kicked out of the club.
