The Celtics enter the season with lower expectations, mainly because star forward Jayson Tatum suffered an Achilles injury. However, The Athletic’s Zach Harper believes that Boston can outperform what many people anticipate this season.

“I think this team is way better than most assume,” Harper wrote Friday. “Their style of play on random nights in the regular season is really difficult to handle. I think this team has a good shot at remaining in the top six before a quick playoff exit.”

Although Tatum will likely miss a significant portion of the season, the Celtics still boast one of the top guards in the NBA, Jaylen Brown.
