What to know: When the Shine Foundation approached Cheekbone Beauty founder Jenn Harper with an idea, she was confident she could assist.
The charity was hoping the Indigenous entrepreneur’s company could create a spatial makeup palette for a young girl named Scarlette, a 14-year-old Toronto beauty fan who was born legally blind.
“Getting to know Scarlette was the first step in the collaboration, and understanding what would be useful to her from a design perspective. From there, we ideated on a palette for Scarlette that would address some of these issues,” says Harper.
