The Michigan Department of Natural Resources celebrated the 1 millionth camp night reservation of 2025, the agency announced on Thursday.

The McIntyre family, who stayed at South Higgins Lake State Park , were honored as having made the 1 millionth reservation of the year. Park staff gifted them a Michigan camping-themed basket, including a $150 state park and harbor gift card .
