Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver Chris Godwin Jr. is not expected to play in Sunday's home game against the San Francisco 49ers because of a fibula injury, ESPN reported Friday.

Godwin, 29, has six catches for 52 yards over the past two games after missing the first three weeks of the season while recovering from a dislocated left ankle last season that required multiple surgeries. He has not practiced this week.

Tampa Bay (4-1) also is expected to be without fellow wideout Mike Evans for a third consecutive week because of a hamstring injury.
