Jeanne Beker’s always been a tour de force — as a founding member of MuchMusic, the host of the show Fashion Television, which ran for 27 years, and more recently as an advocate for cancer awareness.
And she’s not slowing down.
“I feel like I’ve never been busier,” the 73-year-old says, having just returned from a trip to the Yukon before getting ready to wrap up Project Runway Canada, which debuts on Crave in November.
Her energy and enthusiasm shines through as she speaks about being a judge on the show, which features 12 fashion designers competing for an industry breakthrough.
“It’s interesting to be back really having a chance to look at young, emerging talent,” she says, before filming the final episode. She’s hoping whoever wins will establish themselves in Canada.
