Ottawa-headquartered Shopify Inc. is continuing to change its top brass, with another executive departure and promotion on Thursday.

Shopify said it has promoted Jess Hertz to chief operating officer after Kaz Nejatian left the e-commerce giant last month to become chief executive of real estate platform Opendoor Technologies Inc. Meanwhile, chief revenue officer Bobby Morrison announced he is stepping down from his role.

In a LinkedIn post on Thursday, Hertz outlined her priorities as COO: “Make the work visible, shorten feedback loops, deliver in smaller increments (and) own outcomes end-to-end.”
