If you’re planning to ship holiday packages, you’ll be paying more as the Postal Service has implemented temporary price changes for some package services.

By the numbers:

The price hikes affect Priority Mail Express, Priority Mail, USPS Ground Advantage and Parcel Select and will remain in effect through Sunday, Jan. 18.

The temporary price increases range from 90 cents to $16 depending on the package service and delivery zone.

Prices for shipping are based on zones determined by how far the delivery destination is:

Zone 1: Destinations within 50 miles (outside the PO).

Zone 2: Destinations within 51–150-mile radius.

Zone 3: Destinations within 151–300-mile radius.

Zone 4: Destinations within 301–600-mile radius.

Zone 5: Destinations within 601–1000-mile radius.
