A Perth woman says she was forced to run for her life after being stalked by a naked man while hiking alone in the hills.

Elizabeth Straughan told police the man trailed her along a bush track in Canning Mills Reserve while she was walking her dog. She said he had tied a shirt over his face.

“The terror just sieged through me,” Ms Straughan told 7News .

“(I thought) what’s going to happen now. I knew. I need to out run him.” 3

Ms Straughan dialled triple-0 and sprinted towards the sound of approaching sirens.

“As the sirens got louder, I looked back only to find the man behind me had vanished into the bush,” she said.

Police arrived within minutes but despite the rapid response, no arrests were made and the man has not been found.
