PROPHETSTOWN, Ill. — A Whiteside County man was arrested by state police for harming a child.
A concerned resident contacted the Prophetstown Police Department after seeing a 12-year-old child with injuries to their face. PPD requested that the Illinois State Police become involved, and they launched an investigation.
During their investigation, ISP Special Agents identified 55-year-old Earl Chinn Sr. of Prophetstown as a suspect. Agents also learned the child suffered a broken arm, which had not been reported.
On Wednesday, Oct. 8, a warrant was issued for Chinn Sr.'s arrest. ISP found him and arrested him without protest, and he was taken to Whiteside County Jail.
