MANSFIELD, La. – Two DeSoto Parish Police Jury road department employees were suspended last month for performing unauthorized road work, parish Administrator Michael Norton confirmed.
One employee was suspended for two days and the other for one day. Their work was not directed by police jurors and was performed in two separate districts, Norton said.
“They did something they have been used to doing, but Mr. (Phillip) Clark told them not do that when he took over and they chose to do it anyway,” Norton said. Clark took over as road department superintendent several months ago.
