NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) - A portion of Interstate 24 in Nashville has been closed after a crash Friday afternoon, according to the Tennessee Department of Transportation.

TDOT reports that the crash happened on I-24 Eastbound at mile marker 42 at around 1:37 p.m.

As a result of the crash, all eastbound lanes have been closed. TDOT said they are estimating that the road will be fully reopened by 7 p.m., but they are hopeful some lanes will reopen before then.

A diversion has been set up at Exit 40.

There are no details on injuries at this time.
