HAZARD, Ky. (WYMT) - Community leaders gathered in downtown Hazard Friday for a ribbon cutting ceremony.
The Edelen Renewables Pavilion is nearly finished.
A huge television still needs to be added.
This is on “The Grand’ outdoor space.
The stage is expected to be used for various community events for years to come.
Edelen Renewables CEO Adam Edelen presented a $25,000 donation check for the project.
He was also named an honorary ‘Duke of Hazard’.
Edelen Renewables also has an office on Main Street in Hazard and are involved in several solar energy projects.
The first performance on the new stage was a rendetion of “My Old Kentucky Home.”
The same space will be utilized in downtown Hazard next Thursday, October 16 from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. for ‘Thursdays on the Grand.’ We will b
