LOUISVILLE, Ky. — As the Commonwealth deepens its ties to the automotive industry, local entrepreneurs are working to take advantage of it.
At the local International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers on Preston Highway, Charlie Waugh and Jason Neal unveiled the Mobile Electric Vehicle Power Access Container, or MEVPAC.
They’re the co-founders of the charging system, and they hope the reveal is the beginning of a long line of even more systems.
“Took eight years and took five to become somebody worthy of the journey to steer this ship right here,” Waugh said. “It was a vision turned reality. It’s amazing. And it’s cool.”
The charging system was made in collaboration with Amplify , an entrepreneurial incubator.
