BROWNSVILLE, Texas (ValleyCentral) — Five people have been indicted in connection with a deadly shooting in December 2023.

Adam Isaiah Gallegos, 17, Sergio Eduardo De La Garza, 17, Jose Luis De La Garza, 18, Jorge Angel Gallegos, 21, and Ethan Gallegos, 20, were indicted on Aug. 20, 2025, according to Cameron County records.

Adam Isaiah Gallegos, Sergio Eduardo De La Garza, and Jose Luis De La Garza are all charged with murder in connection with the death of 22-year-old Adam Hunter Garza.

All five males are also facing a charge of engaging in organized criminal activity, a first-degree felony.

An arraignment hearing for Sergio Eduardo De La Garza is scheduled for 8:30 a.m. on Oct. 13 and at 9 a.m. for Jose Lui
