The city of McKinney is extending its agreement with the Salesmanship Club of Dallas to continue hosting the CJ Cup Byron Nelson golf tournament through 2030.

McKinney City Council members approved a resolution authorizing the extension during an Oct. 6 meeting . The action comes after stakeholders announced the extension in June .

The Byron Nelson tournament has been played at TPC Craig Ranch in McKinney each year since 2021. The tournament held in May 2025 was its second year with CJ Group as its title sponsor.

The tournament is officially hosted by the Salesmanship Club of Dallas and exists to raise money for the Momentous Institute, a mental health organization that offers support for children and families. Since 1968, the tournament has raised more than $190 milli
