CHARLOTTE, N.C. (WBTV) - A Mecklenburg County Judge on Friday afternoon declined to revoke the bond for a woman’s involvement in killing another woman in 2020 .
America Diehl’s bond will remain the same after Judge David Strickland on Friday, Oct. 10, decided he would not revoke it, and her ankle monitor would be removed, despite requests from the Mecklenburg County District Attorney’s Office.
Diehl, along with three other people, are facing charges for their alleged involvement in killing Mary Collins in 2020. The prosecution said Collins was stabbed more than 130 times and bludgeoned. Collins’ body was found wrapped in plastic wrap and stuffed in a mattress.
The district attorney’s office and the ankle monitoring company said that Diehl has repeatedly violated the conditions of he
