While efforts to further implement the shot clock in Alabama are on hold for now, Alabama Association of Basketball Coaches president Elijah Garrison left Montgomery this week feeling encouraged about the future of the association’s role in high school basketball.

The Homewood boys basketball coach presented a plan to the Central Board on expanding the role of the shot clock in Alabama at the board’s annual October meeting. His plan came complete with statistics, research and figures.
