MERIDIAN, Idaho — A Meridian man was arrested by Idaho Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Unit for possession of sexually exploitative material, the office of Idaho Attorney General Raúl Labrador announced Friday.

Authorities said 30-year-old Austin Sypert of Meridian was arrested by investigators on Tuesday, Oct. 8, for three counts of possession of sexually exploitative material.

The unit was assisted by the Meridian Police Department, Homeland Security investigations and an affiliate investigator with the Nampa Police Department, according to Labrador's announcement . He expressed thanks to law enforcement for their "commitment to keeping families in Idaho safe."

Anyone with information about the exploitation of children is encouraged to contact their local police department
