LAKE PLACID, N.Y. (WCAX) - A new effort in the Adirondacks is helping parents get back to work by lowering the cost of child care.
Inside First Steps’ new child care facility in Lake Placid, they’ll soon have 22 slots for kids aged three and under.
“Our goal is for everybody to have affordable, quality day care,” said the organization’s Dean Dietrich, who says the program is being housed inside the St. Agnes School.
“It seemed like the right fit to be able to expand down to accommodate infants and toddlers, now making us a birth to grade three population,” said Saint Agnes Principal Katie Turner.
