Srinagar, Oct 10: Kaman Post, one of the last Indian Army positions along the Line of Control (LoC) in north Kashmir’s Uri sector, has drawn nearly 33,000 visitors between January and September this year, emerging as a unique and increasingly popular tourist destination.

According to data shared by the Army, the highest footfall was recorded in April (7,150 visitors), followed by steady numbers across other months: 3,729 in January, 3,907 in February, 2,275 in March, 104 in May, 4,079 in June, 4,772 in July, 3,706 in August, and 2,667 in September.

In comparison, the second half of 2024 — from July to December — saw a total of around 41,000 visitors, with 11,269 in July, 10,486 in August, and 5,600 in September, followed by 6,077 in October, 3,725 in November, and 4,257
