ROCKFORD, Ill. (WTVO) — Domingos en el Parque, a summer tradition in Rockford's Latino community, continues to bring crowds every Sunday afternoon at Levings Park.

The event, now in its 23rd year, features local vendors, artists, and musicians.

"It's a family," said Antonio Ramirez, director of Domingos en el Parque, emphasizing the event's role in fostering community ties.

Ramirez described the Sunday music series as a representation of his roots, noting the powerful sense of community and celebration it fosters.

Araceli Villegas, the volunteer coordinator, highlighted the dedication of volunteers, many of whom are students, who help ensure the event runs smoothly.
