WOODRUFF, S.C. —

Spartanburg School District Four is set to open its new $100 million high school in Woodruff next year as the district looks to accommodate development and growth.

The new Woodruff High School, located on Cross Anchor Road, features 60 classrooms and can expand up to 77, two gyms, a 600-seat auditorium, band and chorus areas and eight science labs.

"We have tried to do everything that we could possibly do to get this school to be as nice as we could, but also within staying within our budget," facilities director Clark Simpkins said.

The new high school is funded through a $100 million bond referendum passed by voters in 2022. Construction on the project began in 2023 and will be ready for students next fall.
