This was a shot over the bow for Jewish students attending the University of Guelph on Oct. 7.

Here’s some Cannon fodder stemming from the war in Gaza coming from that normally non-news-making campus.

Who would have thought?

Let’s just say this was a loud blast from the famous War of 1812 cannon on campus that went from its usual fun to being insensitive and inappropriate – and drawn into the Israel-Gaza war.

1,200 WERE MURDERED OCT. 7

It seems on the two-year anniversary of the Oct. 7 Black Sabbath slayings of 1,200 innocent people on the Israel-Gaza border, someone took the usual tradition of “painting the cannon” – known as Old Jeremiah – at Branion Plaza and painted it Palestinian green, white and red.
