Prosecutors identified six individuals involved in the attack as Austin Smith, Joshua Ansteatt, Hayley Hornsby, Deontae Conyers, Brayden Hall, and Kenneth Bolin. Each faced a judge virtually and entered not guilty pleas.

One victim was reportedly hit in the head from behind and knocked out after being struck again.

Melinda Rinehart, assistant prosecutor for Hamilton County, said, "The allegation was basically him assaulting the unconscious person."
