CNN anchor Erin Burnett was floored Friday night watching MAGA revolt against President Donald Trump, who earned "fierce backlash" after his administration announced the United States approved Qatar's construction of an Air Force facility in Idaho.

Qatar can host F-15 fighter jets under the deal and conduct joint training exercises with American troops.

Burnett shares a quote from disdainful Trump fans to open her show, "OutFront."

"Betrayed! Fierce backlash tonight from the MAGA base after this surprising announcement with great fanfare from the Trump administration," she said.

Burnett said the announcement caught everyone off guard — "and Trump's base is livid about it."

That includes far-right extremist Laura Loomer, who has boasted of having a hand in ousting several government officials.

"One of her posts, she says, 'What the hell is going on?'" remarked Burnett, quoting from Loomer's post on X. "Why are we trying to train more Muslims how to fly planes on U.S. soil? Didn’t we already learn our lesson? Why are we encouraging more Islamic infiltration of our country by the funders of Hamas and the Muslim Brotherhood? This is very bad for our national security."

Loomer unloaded about 40 more posts critical of the administration.

"40 posts on this today. Watch them populate the screen. They're mad. At one point, writing, 'This is where I draw the line. I am not voting in 2026.'"

And Loomer wasn't alone. Right-wing advisor Steve Bannon joined the chorus of jeers, telling Newsweek, "There should never be a military base of a foreign power on the sacred soil of America."

Burnett called it an "incredible series of events" that Trump's deal comes after the country gifted him a private jet, and after Trump signed an executive order giving NATO-level security guarantees to Qatar.

"I can't even believe I'm saying it. And this is real," said Burnett, noting the country has previously funded terrorism at the highest level.

"And that right there is a big part of why MAGA is breaking with Trump over this Qatari Air Force facility in Idaho," said Burnett.
