MANITOU SPRINGS, Colo. (KKTV) - A man is facing several charges, including extortion, in Manitou Springs after his arrest on Friday.

Manitou Springs police said they’ve been following on ongoing situation for the past couple of days, confirming early Friday that they were speaking with a person of interest , but had not spoken directly on what the situation was.

On Friday evening, though, they said they had arrested a man in Park County in connection to recent activities that happened in the city.

Travis Lee Garrigan was arrested, according to Manitou Springs police. He’s facing the following preliminary charges:

Attempt to influence a public servant

Harassment

Obstructing Government Operations

Criminal extortion

Manitou officials said he was booked with a $25,000 bond. They did
