SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, California (KOLO) - An unlicensed contractor has been sentenced to 180 days in jail in connection with a home improvement project in South Lake Tahoe.

Alan Richard Mann was also sentenced to two years of probation and ordered to pay $25,000 in restitution for unauthorized purchases and the cost of redoing the project.

He was also ordered to stay away from the homeowners and have no contact with them. He was also barred from engaging in contracting work without a license and workers comp insurance.

Mann pled guilty on Sept. 15 to using another person’s identifying information and for employing workers without valid employer’s insurance.
