WASHINGTON (DC News Now) -- D.C. police arrested an 18-year-old accused of robbing two people while completing online marketplace transactions.

The Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) said that the first robbery happened around 4:15 p.m. on Oct. 3 in the 3900 block of C St. SE. The second took place around 5:30 p.m. the following day in the 100 block of 40th St. NE.

Police said that in both cases, the suspect and the victim met up for a prearranged transaction. Each time, the suspect pointed a gun at the victim and demanded property.

During the second robbery, there was a brief struggle.

MPD arrested 18-year-old Ryan Williams on Oct. 10 and charged him with two counts of armed robbery (gun).
