How can a business that calls itself Pornhub claim it is not covered by an Ohio law requiring online porn sites to verify the ages of users?
That’s the question Today in Ohio podcasters asked Friday based on news that major porn sites were ignoring Ohio’s new law.
Ohio Attorney General Dave Yost isn’t asking. He’s telling the sites to comply or face serious consequences.
“He looked at 20 of the biggest porn sites. Only one has complied so far,” explained Lisa Garvin. “Sites with obscene or harmful content are supposed to verify that their users are 18 and older with either a photo ID or some sort of records like education, mortgage or employment records.”
