Residents are asked to review Santa Barbara County's draft legislative platform for 2026 , and share their feedback with the County Executive Office ahead of the board of supervisors' review.
Released by the Legislative Program Committee, the list prioritizes legislative principles, specific issues, projects and programs that warrant targeted advocacy, funding requests, and/or legislation.
The platform is based on eight principles: Job Growth and Economic Vitality; Efficient Service Delivery and Operations; Fiscal Stability; Inter-Agency Collaboration; Local Control; Health and Human Services Stability; Diversity, Equity and Inclusion; and Climate Sustainability, Resilience and Adaptation.
Supervisors are scheduled to review and approve the 2026 Legislative Platform on Dec. 16. Once
