HARTFORD, CT. (WFSB) - Hartford police arrested nine people and seized a loaded handgun, drugs and thousands of dollars in cash during a citywide narcotics operation this week.

The Hartford Police Narcotics Unit conducted the operation on October 8th, targeting narcotics “hot spot” areas identified through community complaints, police said.

Officers seized 43 grams of cocaine, seven grams of crack cocaine, 111 bags of fentanyl, three ounces of marijuana, and a Smith & Wesson .40 caliber handgun containing six live rounds during the operation. Police also recovered $5,936 in cash.

Among those arrested was 41-year-old Kimani Christie. He faces multiple firearm-related charges including carrying a pistol without a permit, criminal possession of a firearm and weapons in a motor vehicle.
