DALLAS — After another week of failed votes in the Senate, the United States government remains shut down . So, we asked Congresswoman Julie Johnson, D-32nd District, how she thinks the shutdown will end.

“I expect the shutdown is gonna end with the passing of the Democratic Senate resolution to reopen the government that restores everyone’s healthcare. It’s pretty simple. It restores the government. It opens it up just like everything else, but it doesn’t slash healthcare for 32 million people,” the Democrat told us on Inside Texas Politics .
