SEVIERVILLE, Tenn. (WATE) — The WATE Game of the Week ended in dramatic fashion as the Grace Christian Rams knocked off the defending 5A state champion Sevier County Smoky Bears.

Grace Christian bounced back from two straight losses to defeat Sevier County 33-31 and end the Smoky Bears' 21-game win streak. They hadn't lost since early in the 2023 season.

"It's huge for our program just because of the steps we continue to make," head coach Justin Price said after the game. "We've been through some adversity with some injuries and then two losses in a row, but this bunch is so resilient. We got some playmakers, we got some dogs that love to play football and what a great win for Grace Christian Academy against a great opponent."
