Staff at the Mersey Community Hospital have been praised by the Premier and Health Minister for their response to damage caused by severe weather on Thursday night and into Friday.
A Code Yellow emergency response was called on Friday morning as rain and wind caused damage to some areas, including the entrance to the Antenatal Clinic.
Premier Jeremy Rockliff and Health Minister Bridget Archer visited the hospital on Saturday.
Mr Rockliff said the hospital's swift and coordinated response ensured the safety and continuity of care for patients.
"Staff acted quickly and professionally to manage the impacts of the storm and to make sure patients continued to receive high-quality care," he said.
