CHEYENNE – Friday morning, local officials entered a Cheyenne-area property and discovered dozens of animals living in horrific conditions. Many were found injured, sick and severely neglected – and tragically, some had already died, a news release from the Cheyenne Animal Shelter said.
The surviving animals – including dogs, cats, rabbits, chickens, small birds and even a goat – were being transported to the Cheyenne Animal Shelter for urgent care and rehabilitation.
“Our team is heartbroken, but we’re ready to help,” said Niki Harrison, director of development at the shelter. “These animals have endured unimaginable suffering, and they deserve a chance at safety, healing and love.”
