Fort Smith Police responded to the scene of an aggravated armed robbery at approximately 9 p.m. at Roosters convenience store at 50th and Johnson.

According to a press release, the suspect fled on foot after hitting an employee with a handgun. Police say the suspect was last seen behind a smoke shop nearby heading east.
