SKOWHEGAN -- The undefeated Cony Rams made the trip to Skowhegan to face the Riverhawks on Friday night.
In the second quarter, Cony had already mounted a 20-0 lead. But the Riverhawks kept fighting, and quarterback Matthew Keister threw a dime to an open Trevor Austin who stayed balanced and took the ball into enemy territory.
But just a few plays later Keister had his pass picked off by Tyler Tibbetts who made a sensational grab to give Cony the ball back.
Cony continued to roll on offense and quarterback Parker Morin escaped the pressure and found Cooper Clark cutting across the field, who took it the distance for a touchdown, increasing the Rams lead to 27.
Cony would shut out the Riverhawks and they would leave Skowhegan with a 55-0 win.
