Dolly Parton is carrying out her late husband Carl Dean ’s final wishes.

According to newly released court documents, Carl —who passed away in March 2025 at age 82—left his entire estate to the 79-year-old singer, according to Us Weekly .

The will, originally signed in 2013, covers his personal property, including items tied to Dolly ’s legendary music career such as costumes, photos, cars, and other paraphernalia.

Carl also indicated there may be a handwritten note outlining where certain personal items should go. If that note isn’t located, Dolly will take responsibility for distributing those possessions herself. She has also requested to be appointed executor of his estate.
