Week 6 for Kansas high school football is in the books, and though the weather might not feel like fall, the games feel right for October. A pair of rivalry contests headlined the slate across the metro, with both turning one-sided quickly.

The Blitz Game of the Week took us to Maize High for their matchup with USD 266 rival Maize South. The Eagles came in as the last unbeaten team in Class 6A, and looked the part in taking care of the now 4-2 Mavericks 49-0. It was last year in this matchup that Brayden Myovela took over at quarterback, ending a then perfect start for the Mavericks. Friday it was his rushing that proved unstoppable as a pair of scores on the ground in the first quarter gave them all the cushion they would need.
