DECATUR, Ala. (WHNT) — The Austin Black Bears took down the Bob Jones Patriots 31-7 in a big region win Friday night.

The Black Bears started fast and didn't look back, scoring the first 20 points of the game, including a 73-yard run from Aidan Davis. Davis followed up with a short touchdown run after his long run.

This win allowed Austin to stay in first place in Class 7 Region 4 and sets up a tight finish to the end of the region championship race.

Coach Jeremy Perkins says he was proud of his team's physicality in the win on Friday.

The Black Bears will welcome James Clemens next Friday, while Bob Jones will host Albertville.
