Florida man admits extorting explicit pictures from Pa. college student

WILLIAMSPORT — A Florida man has admitted extorting a female student at the Penn State Berks Campus into sending him explicit pictures of herself.

Allen Liam Blaney, 21, entered a conditional guilty plea Friday in U.S. Middle District Court to charges of interstate communications with intent to extort and distribution of child pornography.

The plea is conditional because Blaney has the right to withdraw it if Judge Matthew W. Brann does not impose the sentence of 24 to 46 months followed by 10 years of supervised release negotiated by the parties.

Blaney, a naturalized U.S. citizen born in Panama, remains free with conditions pending sentencing.
